FEP Resin for wire & cable |
| | Perfluorinated ethylene-propylene (FEP) for wire and cable is the copolymer of tetrafluorothylene (TFE) and hexafluoropropylene (HFP) with excellent thermo-stability, outstanding chemical inertness, low friction coefficient, distinctive air aging resistance, vapor penetrating resistance, non-inflammability and superior electrical insulation. It is nearly stabilized in rather wide ranges of temperature and frequency. And it can be widely used as wire and cable in the field of aircraft, spacecraft, communication, computer, electricity instrument, high buildings and high temperature up to 200°C for a long time, etc, due to its excellent interruption & shielding resistance to communication signals. The thermoplastic process techniques can be used to fabricate useful products from FEP. | | Specification: Items | Index | SFC-A | SFC-B | SFC-C | SFC-D1 | SFC-D2 | SFC-E1 | SFC-E2 | Appearance | Clean semitransparent pellet | Melt flowrate(g/10min) | 2.1~4.0 | 4.1~8.0 | 8.1~12.0 | 12.1~16.0 | 16.1-20.0 | 20.1~24.0 | 24.1~27.0 | Tensile strength(MPa)≥ | 25 | 21 | 21 | 20 | 20 | 18 | 16 | Elongation atbreak (%) ≥ | 300 | 300 | 300 | 300 | 300 | 280 | 250 | Melting point(°C) | 265±10 | 265±10 | 265±10 | 265±10 | 265±10 | 265±10 | 265±10 | S.S.G | 2.12~2.17 | Volatile (%)≤ | 0.10 | Thermo-stress craze resistance | Very good | Very good | Good | Good | Good | Good | Good | Volume resistance(Ω·cm) | 1×1016 | Breaking downvoltage(KV/mm) | 20~24 | Dielectric constant(106HZ)≤ | 2.10 | Dielectric losstangent(106HZ) | 3.0×10-4 | 4.0×10-4 | Purposes | Thick layer wire and cable | Wire andcable for general purpose | Thin layer wire | Wire by high-speed excursion | Thin layer wire by high-speed excursion | Package, storage & transportation:FEP resin pellet is sealed with two layers of polyethylene sack, packed in hard paper drum with net weight 25kg per drum, and should be stored in clean and dry warehouses to avoid pollution from impurities. The processing temperature should be below 400°C to avoid releasing toxic gases. |
